Be the Light

Senior Pastor

Denny Wilson

Pastor Dennis “Denny” Steven Wilson was born in Middletown, Ohio. He married his beautiful wife, Annette, in 1988. They have a son, Cody; daughter, Courtney’ son-in-law, Terry, and grandson, Jace.

Growing up in a Christian home, Denny accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at the age of 12. At the age of 16, he surrendered his entire life to God and was sanctified. Shortly after, he answered the call to ministry and received his Local Minister’s License. Five years later, he received his District Minister’s License from the Church of the Nazarene. He has held pastoral positions in the Church of the Nazarene since 1990 and came to Ensley Nazarene in June 2013.

Pastor Denny received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education with a Minor in Psychology from Trevecca Nazarene University. He completed Master of Ministry courses at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

Denny is a big fan of spending time with family, competitive sports, coffee, hunting, fishing, reading and movies.

Be the Change

Youth Pastor

Adam Cabana

Pastor Adam was born and raised in Pace, Florida. He pursued his call to ministry by moving to Tennessee to attend Trevecca Nazarene University. In 2007, he graduated from TNU with a major in religion and minor in Youth Ministry. Since 2008, Pastor Adam has served as Youth Pastor, Young Adult Pastor and Campus Life Pastor.
Adam enjoys tinkering with technology and spending time with his family—beautiful wife, Kristin, and three daughters: Hannah, Abigail and Chloe. Adam’s philosophy of “church” is not a place you go or something you do. To him, church is something you live out, it’s a lifestyle.

Pastor of Outreach Ministries

Angela Stephens

Pastor Angela was born in Edgewood, Kentucky. She and her husband, Brian, married in 1989 and have two living children, Ian and Aneesa.

Angela grew up attending church with her mother and brothers and, at the age of eight, gave her life to Christ. Entirely sanctified in 2001, Angela began to pursue a life devoted to Christ and the call He had placed on her life. After serving under the Southern Baptist denomination as a Youth Minister and Recreation Director, Angela came to the Church of Nazarene in 2012. She received her local license in June of that same year. In 2013, she and her family began attending Ensley Church of the Nazarene. In May 2015, she received her District Minister’s License.

Angela is a graduate of Liberty University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Multidisciplinary Studies in 2005. She is currently attending the Ministry Prep Program at Nazarene Bible College and is scheduled to graduate in May 2016.

Angela loves spending time with her family, playing sports, hiking, camping, reading and fishing.

Children’s Ministry Director

Brenda Woolum

Our Children’s Department goal at Ensley Nazarene is to partner with parents!  We want to give parents what they need to become the primary spiritual leaders for their children. During their time with us, children experience an awesome environment where they can learn life applications. In addition to Family Worship (KidStuf-Sundays at 9:30am), resources are available for families to continue the use and learning of the life app throughout the week.

Brenda Woolum heads up our Children’s Department team as Children’s Director. She has four girls and a son-in-law: Morgan, Summer, Courtney, Kristin and Adam, and is proud Mimi to 3 granddaughters. The entire Children’s Department team (teachers, cast, assistants, technical staff…) is a group of talented, loving, volunteers. The Children’s Department keeps things going for all our kids from birth to 6th grade!

Throughout her career as a military spouse, she’s enjoyed a variety of side jobs including teacher, Mall Manager’s Assistant and Navy College Counselor. She is also honored to have volunteered for a number of organizations such as MOMS Club Area Coordinator for West Virginia and Director for Ensley’s Caravan Scouting program.
